As a minimum guests will always see the following three standard charges on their bill:

 

1 – The Booked Room Fee ( number of nights  X  nightly bedroom rate )

 

2 – One off Room Cleaning Fee was £20.00. Now only £1 (Promo19)

 

Booking is simple swift and secure using our online Booking and Payment page.

 

Booking and payment are immediately confirmed by e-mail with the booked rooms immediately updated as Booked on our booking management system.

 

Our payment gateways use industry leading security to process payments and to store payment information.

 

Full payment is taken at the same time the booking is made.

 

Currently there is no Booking or Admin Fee applied to a booking/payment.

 

Our same day booking deadline is 9 p.m.

ID Not Required

Guests who have stayed with us before do not need to provide ID.

 

Why we ask for ID

At ipswichdigs we understand that we have a duty to our guests and neighbours that they can sleep safe and secure because we know who is sleeping in the room next door.

Online payment helps to confirm a guests ID to a certain level but as we all know in this digital age online indentity theft is a real threat.

As such we ask our guests to provide secondary confirmation of their ID.

 

Full ID vs ID LITE

The following can be used as ID; 1 – a passport, 2 – a driving licence, 3 – a recent government/local authority letter/bill or 4 – a bank statement.

Letters, bills and bank statements need to be under ninety days old.

At ipswichdigs we do not ask for copies of your FULL ID online e.g. a full copy of your passport, as this is more information than we need. We only need enough information to confirm your ID, so only ask for ID LITE online.

 

ID LITE Requirements

1 -Passport; we only need to see the picture and the name. Block out all other information.

2 – Driving licence; we only need to see the picture and the name, or the address and the name. Block out all other information.

3 – A government or local authority letter or bill: we only need to see your name and address. The document date must be visible to indicate that it is under ninety days old. Block out all other information.

4 – A bank statement; we only need to see your name and address. The document date must be visible to indicate that it is under ninety days old. Block out all other information.

 

Our Guest Book

Our Guest Book asks two questions of UK and European Citizens and five for everyone else, plain, simple and takes seconds to complete.

We are required by law to collect this information about all our guests and do this using our Guest Book.

 

Why do it Online

Our Guest Book and ID requirements can be completed online or onsite, but we advise that online is best, its quickest, easiest and ID LITE also enables Self Check In. (see below)

Self Check In is only available where our Guest Book with ID LITE has been completed online.

 

Upon completing a booking and payment online a guest is taken to our Guest Book Page.

 

If a guest chooses to complete our online Guest Book and adds a copy of their ID LITE they are permitted to Self Check In anytime after 4pm on the first day of their booking.

Self Check In guests will be e-mailed/messaged with the code for the key safe, located by the front door, at 4 p.m. on the day of their arrival. The key safe holds the house keys and the key to their room allocated storage.

 

Onsite/Assisted Check In is only available up to 9 p.m.

A guest planning on completing an Onsite/Assisted Check In who then subsequently realises that they will not make the 9 p.m. deadline will need to go online and complete the online Guest Book with ID LITE to enable Self Check In. There is a link to our Guest Book at the top of our webpage.

 

During assisted Check In, a guest will be required to complete our Guest Book and present one form of ID as detailed in the Guest book & ID LITE section above.

Check In can only be completed when our Guest Book has been completed and a valid ID has been presented.

 

On completion of assisted Check In a guest will be supplied with the code for the key safe by the front door that holds the house keys and the key to their room allocated storage.

 

 

Guests need to vacate our premises no later than 10 a.m. on the last day of their booking.

Our booking confirmation e-mail also contains a One Click Cancellation Link. This link does not ask for confirmation, it just cancels with one click. Cancelling a booking couldn’t be easier and less hassle free.

 

Cancellations are immediately confirmed by e-mail with the booked rooms immediately updated as Available on our booking management system.

 

Currently there is no fee for cancelling a booking.

 

We process refunds for bookings without delay at our end. The length of time it takes for a refund to be processed depends on the gateway used to make the payment. The payment gateways available on our website operate in line with industry standard refund processing protocols. This could be anywhere between three to ten days but is totally out of our control.
